*Going to stores and restaurants as an actual customer making a purchase would be the first duty of a mystery shopper. *Making objective observations of service received is the next important duty. *After service and purchase, completing a questionnaire and reporting on service received from employee. *Reports are used by companies to help them understand improvements and changes that need to be made along with employee performance.
